November 5, 2024The 4th iranGrain International Conference, an exceptional event in the fields of grains, livestock feed inputs, and oilseeds, commenced October 1 th 2024 , for 2 days , at the International Conference Center of the Grand Eram Hotel in Tehran.
Recognized as the most significant scientific-commercial gathering of managers and stakeholders in this sector, this year’s conference has once again drawn widespread participation from experts, executives, and policymakers in the grain industry.
The opening ceremony featured the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives from all active associations in the fields of grains, livestock feed inputs, and oilseeds, as well as prominent companies in the industry. Distinguished attendees included the President and members of the Iran-Switzerland Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, officials from the India Chamber of Commerce, traders from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Brazil, suppliers of advanced grain storage and transportation technologies from Europe, and executives from the Iranian State Trading Corporation and the Livestock Affairs Support Company, alongside a large number of media representatives.
This two-day conference will host specialized panels on topics such as risk management in grain import supply chains, oilseeds, livestock feed, Iran-Russia trade, grain products, ports and logistics, legal regulations in grain trade, and the oilseed and livestock feed industries. These panels will present the latest scientific achievements, discuss current challenges, and foster new business relationships among industry leaders.
Unprecedented Attendance**
According to the event organizers, over 700 participants have registered for the conference, underscoring its remarkable reception. All active associations in the grain import chain have sent their representatives to the event. Notably, the conference has witnessed significant interest from Russian traders. Following the sanctions imposed on Russia by several countries, Iran has emerged as a strategic intermediary and an attractive market for Russian grain exporters.
